TCR #108

Last week I was just drifting off to sleep one night and I pictured a layout in my head. Very sure it wasnt one I had seen before, and that someone else had not created it, I set to jotting down the details id imagined.
So finally, today, I had a chance to create it…or something similar! I chose a Colour Room palette from a few weeks ago that I hadnt played with yet and it actually came out even better than how I had pictured it.
For three of the tags I used embossing folders on them to add detail. Two of them were stamped in brown distress ink, and this one below was punched with the large Martha Stewart Punch All Over The Page Butterfly. I put a small strip of acetate behind it to adhere a smaller punched butterfly to.
Here again is one of the fabulous titles I cut out on my friends Cameo 🙂 My birthday September hint hint 😉
I prefer to use flowers that are as natural looking as possible, so I have a mix of prima, Zva Creative and some flowers I got from a local events shop.
I used a brown distress ink dabber on the Kraft butterfly to add some subtle detail.
…and see those large ink splats behind the chickenwire? I discovered from a fellow crafter at the weekend that this is the effect you get when you drop an ink dabber…look out for much more of this effect on my pages!
Lastly, the leave I made I wanted to make as realistic as possible. They are diecut, then inked and crumpled. I shall hopefully soon post a more detailed step by step for these as they really are very realistic, even close up!
