Papercraft Magazines Play…

Don’t you just love it when a product comes your way that couldn’t be more suited to you if you designed it yourself??

That’s exactly how I felt about the latest Indigo Blu Mixed Media Magazine Box Kit! The A4 clear stamp set is stunning, and this particular stamp was designed just for me, I’m sure!

So I kept this card simple to show off the beautiful design, by stamping it in VersaFine ink (Onyx Black) and using Ecoline Pens over the top to colour a very rough rainbow gradient. I say rough because I blended and feathered this out by spritzing the image with water afterwards and allowing it to dry naturally. The VersaFine resists the water, and I had stamped onto watercolour card, so the inks bled beautifully without the paper warping.

I then took a seperate panel of the same watercolour paper and stamped the image again. From this I fussy-cut the floral elements and glued them with a dimensional silicone glue back over the original, and now coloured in, image.

The sentiments in black were also from the same stamp set included with the magazine kit and were simply embossed in white.

I finished the card by matting onto black cardstock and then onto a tenfold white base.

I hope you like this card, and are inspired to create a simple design flooded with colour 🙂
