Hello! My name is…

16174831_10154804735964404_2669529212493939428_nFINALLY!!! She blogs!

Im so glad you’ve found me here! After a few years off the blog train, I am back!!

I am soooooo looking forward to sharing with you projects, techniques, news and events…plus a little about my crazy zoo at home!

For now, please do add me to your reading lists, follow me and hit ‘like’ over on my other social pages, to avoid missing a thing.

For today I have a week of exciting new shows to prepare for over on Create and Craft TV, and some more wedding planning to catch up on, so I will be back with you all in a day or two with a new project I am working on in my (haha) spare time….its so much fun!!

I just want to leave you with the sentiment in the photo. I strongly believe that if you follow your passion and create a career from it, you will never work a day in your life. Don’t forget, I built my career up from making cards from the little ribbons snipped out of clothes (you know, the ones you cut out but are supposed to help them hang?!) and my left over invitation scraps.

It was a lot of hard work and commitment, plus an abundance of dissapointments and surprises, but every day I am grateful that I never gave up, and now I couldn’t be happier.

The ‘Big Thanks Becky’ Blog Hop!!

Thank you all for popping over to my blog in Celebration of Becky James,
and all that she’s done for us.
You should have been directed over here from the wonderful Jill Priors blog.
If not, take a peek below for a full list of the blogs to hop through 🙂
Now Becky will always hold a special place in my heart.
She is a true friend, one whom I can turn to for advice of any subject, whether it be personal or professional, and she will always be there to listen.
I have many times received surprise ‘snail mail’ post from Becky with the most thoughtful notes, gifts or cards, and emails during tough times, just to check how I am.
Friends who are thoughtful like this are priceless.
Professionally, Becky is extremely talented, and her decision to continue her work as a freelance designer I know was not taken lightly, but was something the crafting world was screaming out for.
She has amazing determination, talent and ambition, so there is absolutely no doubt she will be a huge success.
So this collection of four canvases was made for Becky, and I hope the sentiment will help to remind her that she can succeed, but in order to do that, sometimes you have to take a giant leap.
Becky, all your dreams are within your reach, and it won’t be long before you have achieved everything and are having to make a new list of dreams 🙂

Becky, these four canvases will be going in the post to you very soon, so you can put them somewhere as a constant reminder of how much we all believe in you, and how much you deserve to succeed.
You can now pop along to the very talented Sarah Douglas‘ blog to continue our Thanks to Becky….

My dream job has landed…

Now I know you all recognise this logo….
But have you seen their latest news???

Yep, that’s right!! I am joining the fabulous team at Webster’s Pages.
Still pinching myself!!
I’m not going to be on their design team…that was a dream I used to have. Somehow, magically, I’ve managed to skip straight past a DT position and landed myself a role as their new Presenter and Personality!! Sounds pretty good eh?
So I will be doing Create & Craft shows with their yummy products from December, and who knows where else I will be demonstrating, teaching and generally playing with paper and spreading the word 🙂
So here is a quick intro video Websters have put out this morning. It basically says it all!
Thanks for all your social media messages so far. I really appreciate every single one 💖

Webster’s Pages Projects…

Hi All, Welcome back to my blog after such a long break! I’m popping in today to show you all a few projects I have created recently using new lines from Webster’s Pages.
First up, is a layout…
I used Strawberry Fields papers for this, teamed with a few metal embellishments, some stencilled paste and some black crystal chevrons. I cant get enough of that vellum. There are 12×12″ vellum sheets available, and each design is to die for!!!

Also from the Strawberry Fields collection, a card…I just adore that field of sunshine paper in the background!!

…and lastly, you may have seen this layout as I did it for the Papermaze Blog last week. It is using my favourite collection, Nest 🙂
I have recently been working in Orlando, and this was my favourite place to sit. Under the shelter I laid back and watched a thunderstorm go by, and another day a baby croc came underneath to visit 🙂

That’s it for today. I’m talking through some exciting plans for next year, so please keep following to hear all about them soon!
